CRITERIA
Students interested in applying for a Kiwanis Educational Grant or Larry Frew Memorial scholarship may do so beginning January 15, 2026.
The deadline for applying for this scholarship has been extended to Friday, May 15, 2026. All completed applications must be postmarked through U. S. mail by this date. Mail to: Kiwanis – Kansas City – West – 12137 Hubbard Rd Kansas City, KS 66019
Scholarship funding is limited and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee scholarship selection.
All High School Seniors who live and are attending an accredited high school in Wyandotte County are eligible to apply.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to be eligible.
This is a one-year scholarship, with no provisions for renewal.
Scholarship payout will be divided between Fall and Spring semesters.
A completed application includes:
Grant application filled out,
A letter of recommendation from a school or activity representative (cannot be a family member)
A sealed original/ official transcript

Awards
Up to six Educational Grants will be awarded for $1000.00 each.
One individual may be awarded the Larry Frew Memorial Scholarship for $2000.00. (Must be a member of the Piper High School Key Club)
